Advanced technology in the Department of Imaging

The Hospital has been going through a deep process of digital transformation, acquiring the last technology in comparison to world reference centers in all its diagnostic areas.

The year began with a new milestone in the commitment to quality and medical excellence in the Imaging Department.

The Radiology Department had four direct digital teams since last January that include artificial intelligence technology. Among other benefits, direct digital equipment has highly sensitive receptors that require lower levels of radiation to obtain superior images, making these procedures safer for the patient.

In January of this year 3 new pieces of equipment were incorporated: one of them with Siemens Ysio X PREE robotic technology, another for remote control radiology, the Luminos Fusion FD model, and a portable Siemens Mobilett Elara Max equipment, which allows studies to be carried out in the Hospitalization floors, emergency and intensive care areas. The latter allows a more efficient procedure since it allows visualization on the spot, providing agility in decision-making.

On the other hand, Magnetic Resonance has incorporated a new Siemens 1.5 Tesla resonator. This team is considered the best, worldwide, for carrying out this study.

The new resonator has a wide range of software and a wide variety of coils that allow it to be adapted to different parts of the body, reducing the time of the study and the need for repeat scans, obtaining greater precision and safety in the procedure, which facilitates medical or surgical decision making.

From this valuable incorporation, the Hospital is positioned as the health institutuion with the best technology in the area of magnetic resonance imaging in our country.

"The new resonator is highly versatile and efficient; it will undoubtedly be a source of pride for our hospital" commented Dr. Cono Santi, Head doctor of the area.
